New and Must Have Craft Supplies for Cardmakers | New Distress Color Saltwater Taffy and More!

It is my favorite time of the month! Time for a New and Must Have Crafty Supplies video.

In these videos, I peruse the new products section of Simon Says Stamp, but the things that strike my fancy and then share them with you all, so you can see them and decide if they are something you'd like to add to YOUR stash!

This month, I am sharing the new Distress color, Saltwater Taffy. I bought the new color in a Distress Oxide Ink (I also buy the refill for that), Distress Paint and Distress Oxide Spray. I am in love with this new color and how beautifully it pairs with Spun Sugar and Abandoned Coral.

I also bought the new Memory Box Vintage Pastel Mirror pad. This 6x6 pad contains heavy weight cardstock mirror or metallix pieces in shades from pearlescent pastels to beautiful metallic tones.

Speaking of 6x6 pads, I also bought the new Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham Pad. I've never met a Lawn Fawn patterned paper pad I didn't like, plus it is a rainbow of gorgeous ginghams!

Speaking of rainbows, the new My Favorite Things Hip Hip Yay pad has them in spades! It is meant to be a birthday pad, but there are plenty of versatile rainbow sheets as well!

Next up, I grabbed the Lawn Fawn Clear and Sparkle Glaze Pens. Love that they come in a pen format for easy dots, lines and covering stamped images.

Also from Lawn Fawn is the How You Bean? Strawberry Add On stamp set and dies. So cute!

I love "hugs" dies for cardmaking and this font is unlike any I've seen so I was happy to add the Freestyle Hugs die from Poppy Stamps to my collection!

When I saw the Lucy's Little Things My Love Mix I knew I had to have it because it seemed to coordinate perfectly with SaltWater Taffy! Love the mix of sequins, pearls and stars!

Last but not least, I grabbed the Studio Katia Crystal Hearts. These are stunning and I had nothing like them in my extensive shaker goodies/embellishment collection!

Of course I created a few cards using the new supplies! Did I mention I love ink blending with Saltwater TaffyDistress Oxide Ink?

But the combination of Spun Sugar and Saltwater Taffy in Distress Oxide Spray is equally amazing! And check out the pearlescent Memory Box Mirror cardstock in the shadow of the hugs die and how it looks with the blue gingham!!

If the strawberries here look dimensional and shiny, it's because of the Lawn Fawn Clear Glaze!

The My Favorite Things patterned papers layer so nicely together!

NEW AFFORDABLE Arrtx Alcohol Marker Set for the Holidays!

You may remember I reviewed a set of Arrtx brushmarkers in this video:

I LOVE them! They are super juicy, come in great colors and make it really easy for beginners to color in stamped images for cards.

So when Arrtx reached out and asked if I would like to try their latest holiday set, I jumped at the chance!

This time I tried the Alp markers which have a bullet tip on one end and a chisel tip on the other. And I LOVED them! I was able to color this entire holiday card with JUST the 12 markers included in this set (10 alcohol markers and 2 metallic paint pens!)!! Plus I think this is some of my best alcohol ink coloring! Check it out and see the colors from this set swatched out in today's video!

Grab this set while it is still on sale! The links are all below! Thanks for stopping by!

Today, I am sharing several ways to add some brightness and color to cards including colorful stamping!

I also did a bit of Copic coloring!

and ink blending too!

And using fun realistic fruit images is a way to add a summery touch.

Those peaches look good enough to eat!

Lawn Fawn - For the Boys!

This week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is For the Boys using Lawn Fawn products! Lawn Fawn is easily one of my favorite stamp and die companies so I had to play along!
I used Lawn Fawn patterned paper, cardstock, stamps and dies on this card. I used Copics to color the little monsters and added some Sakura Glaze pen on the monsters eyes and some Tonic Studios Crystal Glaze on the wings and large open monster eye.
Check out all the products I used linked down below!

Mix and Match Plaid Patterned Papers

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge was PERFECT for me this week: Use Plaid and use Lawn Fawn--two absolute favorites of mine!

I had so much fun mixing plaids from the Perfectly Plaid and Rainbow Plaid 6x6 pads from Lawn Fawn. At first I thought that 4 different plaid patterns on one card would be way too much, but adding the white cardstock and using small squares really helped it from becoming overwhelming. Check out this video to see how I Played with Plaid and how I created those little donuts!

F to the 5th Power - Five Fun Fave Finds on Friday 3

So technically Friday was yesterday, but the 11 year old is taking Latin this summer and we needed to have a uniform fitting done before school starts on Monday, so F to the 5th Power is live now! ;)

This week I am focusing on Hybrid Inks by Simon Says Stamp. They have properties of both dye and pigment inks, stamp beautifully and come in some of the most amazing colors.
Next up is the Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy. This is easily the best, cheapest and most environmentally friendly way to clean stamps.
Then we have extra large binder rings for organizing washi tape. I've seen a bunch of planner ladies using these rings to take washi with them. I have a peg board in my studio and I hang the washi rings from the peg board, which keeps my washi out and accessible.
I love this Precision Tip Applicator bottle by Quilled creations. Whether you remove the nozzle of your adhesive and just use the top or pour your adhesive into the bottle, this precision tip makes it easy to adhere small embellishments.
Last, but not least, if you have not tried Inktense Pencils, you must! They are a little pricey and I only own this 12 pencil set because of the price, but they are amazing. They look like regular watercolor pencils and they do react with water but they are much more pigmented because they are actually ink based.
