Waffle Flower November Release Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Welcome to the Waffle Flower November Release Blog Hop! I have lots to share with you this month but don't forget to make it to the end where we will talk about the GIVEAWAY!

This release 4 stamps sets (one available with matching dies) and a stand alone set of tag dies perfect for topping off presents or decorating cards! So let me share some of the projects I created with these fabulous new stamps and dies! First up is the adorable Holiday Thanks stamp set and matching dies
The whole scene is created for you on one stamp. Color it in with markers pencils, watercolors and more! This set is amazing for making thank you cards for all the wonderful gifts you receive for Christmas!
But the best part about this set is that you can cut off the image of the Christmas tree, add a little birthday hat and turn the image into one that works for a birthday card or birthday thank you card!
I created this card by watercoloring rainbows over the background and stamped image using Distress Oxide Inks.
Next up is Winter Wishes. The adorable snowpeople can be quickly stamped with this 2 layer builder stamp set.
And how cute is Cool Dog?! Again another 2 layer stamp that can quickly and easily create the cutest floppy eared dog wearing a pom pom hat!
I also used the Dotted Tags Die Set for this card! I inked the small tags and used them as an embellishment and stamped the image on cardstock that I layered over the largest tag.
These Dotted Tags look great on cards, but they are also just the right touch for topping off presents!
I stamped a simple greeting on the middle size tag and layered all three sizes together to decorate this Christmas present.

Can You Stamp Sentiments with Distress Oxide Inks?

Simon Says Stamp is celebrating Stamptember! So the challenge for Wednesday is to Stamp It using Simon Says Stamp exclusive products. Conveniently, I had the September Kit Club kit waiting to be used and had wanted to see how well Distress Oxide Inks stamp sentiments.
I used the stamp set that came with the kit to stamp lines of Happy Birthday in a rainbow of Distress Oxide Inks.
I was shocked to see how clearly the Distress Oxide inks stamped the tiny detail sentiment strip! So the answer to the question is most certainly YES! And I will be using my Distress Inks for lots of stamping (sentiment and otherwise) in the future!
Check it out for yourself in this video:

Distress Oxide Splatters on Resist Stamped Background

Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge is to use Ranger products and Splatter It! So I decided to create a card with watercolor Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink splatters.
AND this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge is to use Simon Says Samp products for a Happy Birthday project! The background stamp I used is called Simon Says Stamp Circle Doodle Background and it is one of my favorite background stamps!

After smearing the Distress Oxide inks on a craft sheet, I got it really wet with a paint brush and then flicked it on top of a stamped and heat embossed background. By drying in between colors, I was able to layer up the Distress Oxide splatters without creating muddy browns.
I figured the colorful splatters were perfect for a birthday card, so I used the Poppystamps birthday sentiment die to create a die cut inlay sentiment.

Want to see how fun it was to splatter all those colorful inks? Check out this video I filmed:

Queen and Co. Pretty Presents Kit

The June Queen and Co kit is called Pretty Presents and includes a fabulous 6x6 paper pad, present shaker shapes, sprinkles and a fabulous stamp set. I used a bunch of scraps from the 6x6 pad to create my background and stamped a few Paper Smooches sentiments.
The kit comes with matching dies for the present shakers and I die cut this present from glitter paper.
I created the second background by stamping one of the Queen and Co. sentiments repeatedly in different colors.
I die cut each present in different colors to coordinate with the different sprinkles that came in the kit.
The Pretty Presents kit is perfect for birthday cards and other celebratory greetings. If you are interested in seeing everything in the Queen and Co June kit, check it out HERE.

Queen and Co June Kit - Pretty Presents

I can't believe it is JUNE ALREADY? How is it half way through the year?! The great thing about June, other than summer and vacations is that the new Queen and Co monthly kit is available! This month's kit is called Pretty Presents and it includes everything you need to make several present shakers for birthdays or other celebrations!
You get several Shape Shakers in the kit with three sized coordinating dies, a 6x6 Mat Stack, Toppings and acetate to finish your shakers.

With everything that is included in this kit, it is so easy to pull together a few birthday cards to add to your stash!
All the time you save in creating the shakers, you can use to adhere on the little bows. I think they can also look like little butterflies. :)

Want to see all the items included in the kit AND a quick walk through of how to create TWO shaker cards? Check out this video!

Happy Birthday with Souper Celebration!

I've been busy making lots of Valentine's this month, but I wanted to share a birthday card that was up on the Jillibean Soup blog today. I pulled out an embossing folder for the base of this card and then added goodies from the Jillibean Souper Celebration collection.
I love the fun colors in this collection and the awesome new shaker elements too!
