Pink & Main Mini Minc Review - WOW I am Impressed!

I have foiled toner products with a cheap laminator for YEARS and never thought I could achieve different results with a more expensive machine, but boy was I wrong!

The Pink & Main Mini Minc makes toner foiling a breeze! No more missed spots or black bits of toner remaining!

Plus Pink & Main has amazing supporting products for their Mini Minc such as toner backgrounds, colorful toner sheets, designed foil sheets and more!

I love how easy it is to get two foiled backgrounds...

with one foil sheet!

And how you can combine foiling and stamping!

Check out these supplies and my review of the Pink & Main Mini Minc in this video:

Foiling with Your Die Cut Machine or Cheap Laminator

Did you know you can add foiled effects to cards or other paper crafts with just a die cut machine or cheap laminator?

Therm O Web's latest release of Toner Card Fronts and Adhesive Transfers allow you to create foiled effects for love and Valentine's cards.

You can create a whole foiled card panel with foiling!

Or create a foiled background, sentiment and image by combing the Toner Card Fronts and Adhesive Transfers!

The great thing about the Adhesive Transfers is that they can be used in your die cut machine so you can use them on vellum without fear of warping the vellum!

You can even use them on acetate without warping to create a foiled shaker window!

Check out these new Therm O Web Supplies and these card ideas in today's video:

Foiled Window on Layouts

This month, the Therm O Web Design team was invited to take part in the CSI scrappbook challenge! The "case file" has so much inspiration from colors to use to patterns and even recommended a grid design.

I love a good challenge and created this layout to go along with it!
One of the elements of the challenge was to include stripes. I decided to use the Therm O Web Distressed Lines Clear Toner Sheets and cover them with Jade and Denim foils (everything will be linked down below if you are curious!).
I also used the adorable Simple Stories line Hello Summer.
If you want to see how I created the foiled window panels on this layout, check out my video on the Therm O Web YouTube Channel here:

Stained Glass Foiled Butterflies and Quilted Card Backgrounds

I was up on the Therm O Web blog recently using quilt blocks as inspiration for cards. Check out the pretty quilt blocks:
I was inspired by the butterflies and stitched blocks to create some of my own butterfly and quilted looking cards.
First, I die cut the butterflies from Therm O Web Toner Sheets using my Silhouette Cameo. Then I foiled the butterflies with Therm O Web Deco Foils and a laminator. Next, I adhered the die cut butterflies to acetate and cut around the outside. Then I colored in the open spaces with Copic markers to create a stained glass effect.
To create the card background I grabbed 6x6 patterned paper and adhered the middle of one corner to a 4.25x5x5 card panel. I continued to adhered corners of different patterned papers down, making sure not to put adhesive on any of the edges.  Once the whole card panel was covered, I trimmed off the excess by flipping the panel over and then machine stitched along the lines to give the background a quilted effect.
I combined stamping and die cutting to create my sentiments.
I created a video for Therm O Web where I show how to create the stained glass butterflies, quilted backgrounds and put the card together. You can check it out here:

Layered Foiled Embellishments

I don't know about you, but my parents don't go by Grandma and Grandpa so I can't buy premade themed embellishments or stamps for grandparent cards. Instead I make more versatile cards for Nona and Pop Pop in styles that I know they will appreciate. Foiling is always a fun effect!

But creating layered foiled embellishments is even more fun!

and either punches or dies.

I filmed a quick video to demonstrate how easy it is to layer two foiled shapes and what a fun effect this has for Grandparents cards or any cards!
