Five Fun Fave Finds on Friday! Altenew to Alcohol Inks and MORE!

I have a NEW episode of Five Fun Fave Finds on Friday up on YouTube! I have a few newer products and some new to me products that I thought I would share my thoughts on! First up...Ranger Alcohol Inks! Jennifer McGuire has been creating some stunning backgrounds with Alcohol Inks and I wanted to try my hand at them! Here are a few of the products I am loving. I'll show you in the video how fun they are to play with!
Next up is a Cube Builder Stencil by Altenew. It is so innovative. Simply by inking and then turning the stencil, you can create these three dimensional cube effects!
A new to me product...the Altenew Crisp Inks! I got the Glacial Coves set and I love them!
Next up is the Beadalon tray. It's so easy to return your mini sequins or gems to their container with this little tray!
And finally, the MAMBI Happy Planner. I haven't been decorating mine a lot lately, but I have been using it a ton, especially to keep track of design team assignments and social media posting.
Want to see these goodies up close and personal? Check the video out here:

Snow Globes are NOT Just for Snow!

I love the Queen and Co. Snow Globe Shaker Kit, but in the Southwest, we don't get a lot of snow. So I found new ways to use the kit beyond the traditional snow scene:
Like this bright rainbow shaker! I used the snow globe circle die to die cut several circles of bright patterned paper and then trimmed them to different widths and layered them inside the shaker. I curved the sentiment stamp on an acrylic block so I could stamp it around the circle.

I also went for a non traditional snow globe look with this card. In fact I did not use the snow globe base so it is really just a circle shaker.
I also used some Distress Oxide Inks to create an inked card panel and used the same colors to stamp small flowers from the set inside the shaker. I used Staz On ink to stamp the sentiment right on the shaker window.
So, even if you're done with winter and snow, don't hesitate to pick up the Queen and Co Snow Globe kit for lots of fun shaker cards and then next year when you're excited about the first snow, you can pull the stamps and dies out again to start your holiday cards! If you're interested in the supplies I used, they will all be linked down below. Thanks for stopping by!

Use Layering Stamp to Create a Background

Hey everyone! This week the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is to Floral Frenzy using Altenew products! Fortunately I had a couple of Altenew products that I hadn't used in a while and a few that I had recently purchased too!
I used the most detailed layer of the Painted Rose stamp set to create a very light background by repeatedly stamping it with Altenew Arctic Ink. Then I created the central focus image by stamping the new With Sympathy flower using two medium colors of Altenew inks.
I finished it off with the darkest color of ink in the series, Sapphire and stamped the sentiment with that. I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Shimmer and a few Tonic Studios Nuvo Jewel Drops. I used my Therm O Web Memory Runner XL to adhere everything together. I have a short video showing how I made the background, central image and pulled the card together:

If you're curious about any of the products I used, they will all be linked down below! Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp Weds Challenge - Girl Power

This week the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is Girl Power and to use Winnie and Walter products. I happened to have one fun set of Winnie and Walter Stamps that I love called Scenery Stripes (it and all the products I used will be linked down below).
Of course I had to use my favorite Distress Oxide Inks to stamp the Winnie and Walter Stripes! The little chick and sentiment came from an easter set from Simon Says Stamp. And what would a card be without some Nuvo Jewel Drops? Amiright?
I colored the little chick with Copic markers and then added some clear embellishments on top of flower sequins that I had been hoarding and not using lol! Be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge each week for inspiration and a challenge to use some of your stash! Thanks for stopping by!

Queen and Co Snow Globe Kit

The Queen and Co Snow Globe kit is so fun! Of course there are stamps included to make a snowy scene perfect for a SNOW globe lol! But there are some other stamps in the included set that make it easy to make a totally different look, like this spring shaker card!
I also love the little critters in the stamp set. This snow globe is actually a shadow box, not a shaker card.
This scene is more a traditional snowy scene, but the Best Wishes to You sentiment could be used for a variety of cards.
Check out the kit and the other supplies I used down below! Thanks for stopping by!

How to Use the NEW Therm O Web StampNFoil Line

I may sound like a broken record, but I thought the most innovative product at Creativation this year was Therm O Web and Gina K. Designs Stamp N Foil line.
The StampNFoil line combines stamping, foiling and die cutting to provide fantastic interest to papercrafting. Previously, I had used dye inks for the stamping and so I wondered if Distress Oxide inks would work too. Turns out they work BEAUTIFULLY! Check out this video to see for yourself:

Memory Box Plush Heart Die Makes a Great Felt Embellishment

This week the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is Anything Goes using Memory Box products! I love Memory Box products! I created this inked background and felt embellishment using Memory Box dies and stencil:
The great thing about the Memory Box Plush Heart die is that it cuts out the stitching holes for you! The stencils work great with my favorite Distress Oxide inks too!
Check out this video, where I show how I put this card together from start to finish!

Be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenges each week! They are fun and there's always a chance to win a gift card! Curious about any of the products I used? They are all linked down below! Thanks for stopping by!
