Hello, Sunshine!

We are definitely saying Hello, Sunshine here in Arizona. It has been HOT HOT HOT this week. Lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 90's. Whether or not you are seeing sunshine in your neck of the woods right now, you should go check out the April Scrapbook Circle kit Hello, Sunshine! It will bring lots of bright, happiness to your scrapping. Check out all the sunshiney goodness:
We are talking Crate Paper (from the Neighborhood collection) Bella Blvd and BoBunny papers. And lots of happy goodies. This kit is FUN! I adore the color combination and the mix of playful embellishments. Here is one layout I made with it:
The kit comes with the entire chipboard sheet from Crate Paper and there are so many cute shapes on there. I used several on this layout, but there were lots more:
The only thing I added which was not in the kit is the foam American Crafts Thickers, but the cute mini alphas by Cosmo Cricket are part of the kit:
Isn't that little bee the cutest? I have a sneaking suspicion these kits are going to go fast, fast, fast, so go scoop one up at Scrapbook Circle and enjoy some sunshine!

Can't wait to show the whole thing! Only a few more days until April!!
And because I can't leave without sharing at least one FULL photo, here is one of my little girlie and my beautiful Mom (hopefully she wasn't too scared away by our bubonic plague house to come back and visit again soon lol!).

Lillian, I emailed you! Thanks to everyone for stopping by and commenting. I really want to do more giveaways, so stick around. Until then, I have one final layout from the Scrapbook Circle March kit (Vintage Market) to share. I really like to use kits down to the bare bones--how about you?
We don't really get fall colors here until December and January and then some trees do lose their leaves and the kids love to get out and play in them. So I cut those months out of the Crate Paper  for the title and journaling. The background is also Crate Paper and all the border stickers too.
And, I need to share some Upsy Daisy Designs creations. It was my turn to blog this month and I created a challenge HERE. Here is the multiphoto layout with a detail shot I made using Upsy Daisy's Home Sweet Home line:

My second part of the challenge was to create a card with the scraps:
I guess that's it for now, but come back soon because I have the 3Scrappy Boys April Trio Kit and the Scrapbook Circle April kit in the works and they are both totally fabulous!

Elle's Studio March Gallery!

If you are looking for my 200th post giveaway, go HERE. It will stay open until Friday.

Today I am super excited to share my March Elle's Studio Gallery items. The Elle's Studio blog post with peeks and link to the gallery is HERE. Trust me, you will find lots of inspiration watching all the designers slideshows--they are all amazing. For my gallery this month I focused on Elle's Studio latest release Handmade Layers, which seemed to go perfectly with the new Crate Paper releases.
I hand cut the Emma's Shoppe paper into a funky artisan shape and then stitched around and then used Handmade Layers Penants
and one of the large Handmade Layers Journaling Circle Tags.
Since the layout was about Little Miss riding on a pretend motorcycle, I thought the last tag I used looked like it had tire tracks on it. It comes from the set of 10 Handmade Layers Circle Tags

For the next layout, I used Crate Paper's Toy Box collection with more of Elle's Handmade Layers:
I used one of the Handmade Layers Journaling Tags for the journaling, splattered some ink and tore another one from that set and included the date on a Handmade Layers Date and Place Strip.
And finally, tucked another Journaling Tag under the picture:
Could the Handmade Layers work any better with the Crate Paper???
And last but not least, I used the Crate Paper Portrait line to make this quick and easy card:
The tag behind the stickers and die cuts is an Elle's Studio Kraft tag. They used to be in the Limited Quantity section of the store, but I dont see them now, so remember if you have your eye on something in that department of the Elle's Studio shop, do not hesitate!! The round "treasure" tag is from the Vintage Mementos set.
So that is that! Hope you have a great day and everyone is healthy in your neck of the woods--we are getting there lol!

The Big 2*0*0!! And a GIVEAWAY!!!

By all rights, this post should have happened days ago. But the stomach flu descended on our home :( Little Miss caught it last week and had a fever and couldn't eat for 8 days! I took her to the doctor twice. Little Man and I caught it this past Wednesday. Lucky for us we didnt get it as bad, but it certainly hasn't been a picnic either lol! But I am here now and since this is my 200th post I do have a giveaway, but first let me share a little sneak peak of my March gallery with Elle's Studio:
So excited for this gallery to go live---very soon! I'll be posting the full projects as soon as I can.
Speaking of Elle's Studio, they are sponsoring the Scrapbook Circle Weekend Warm Up! You can find the challenge HERE. The winner will get a bunch of Elle's Studio fabulous Handmade Layers collection!
And speaking of Scrapbook Circle... there are only a few Scrapbook Circle Vintage Market kits left, so if you've been on the fence, run over and grab yours before they are gone!

Big News!

I've had a secret for a few days. But now I can share:
I was pretty much stunned on Friday when the phone rang. I ran to get it (home with a sick Little Miss) and....it was Scott. LOL. But then it rang again! And Heidi Sonboul was on the other end! I was shocked, thrilled and excited beyond belief. My announcement is HERE. I am looking forward to a fabulously fun year!
In other news, I think this is my 199th post...so come back soon for my 200th and an awesome giveaway!!

Scrapbook Circle's Vintage Market

The March Scrapbook Circle kit is available and if you haven't seen it yet you must go to Scrapbook Circle RIGHT NOW lol! It is called Vintage Market and it is PACKED with brand new product from Echo Park, Crate Paper, and Lily Bee.
There is a full sticker sheet from Echo Park's For the Record that has 4 different alpha styles AND word stickers AND border stickers. There are gorgeous Bazzill vintage buttons and those amazing Studio Calico Wood Veneer buttons. If you are anxiously waiting for the new product from CHA, wait no longer! Head over to Scrapbook Circle and pick up your own Vintage Market!
Today I blogged at the Scrapbook Circle blog about a layout I did with Vintage Market:
I kept this one pretty simple to focus on the journaling, but I did layer some of the wood veneer buttons with stickers and punched patterned paper:
The only things on this layout that are not from the kit are the Bazzill Kraft cardstock and the bakers twine.
There is tons of fabulous inspiration with the Vintage Market kit HERE. AND, you have a bit of time left to win one of these amazing kits at Lisa's blog
thanks for stopping by!

Wowza Wednesday

Is it really Wednesday already? Where did the last 7 days go? We've been busy as always. Cleaning and preparing for a visit from Nona--yay! Helping Little Miss study and get her homework done. She just got her third quarter report card and seriously, the kid is kicking kindergarten butt. Dealing with appointments--I had an MRI done on my shoulder today to determine the source of some chronic pain I've had for over a year. Add to that play dates, the gym, more spring cleaning and Phew! I can barely keep my eyes open! And I've been creating madly lately to get a bunch of deadlines done--seems like that short month of February really messed with my calendar! So, I dont have lots to share yet, but I'll leave you with this one, which was my final post at the Just Imagine blog.
I cut all the circles with my Kreaxions circle cutter--I still LOVE that thing!
The Jillibean Soup goodies are a mish mash of a bunch of different lines. I love those little monsters and the yellow background soup staples is one I need LOTS of so I will never run out.
And of course, lots of sewing ;) But I have yet to sew an item of clothing--go figure!
And one item of good news--I had a layout picked up for the August issue of Scrapbook Trends! And neither kid is featured in said layout! Little Miss is still a little disgruntled about the fact that none of her solo layouts have been published lol. I'll just have to keep trying :)
And on that note...have a great night!
:) Rebecca

Elle's Studio Handmade Layers

Have you seen the latest Elle's Studio Collection, Handmade Layers? If not RUN over there now and check it out. I am in LOVE. Music notes, stitching, pennants--it is all wonderful. I got the chance to play with some of the new goodies already and I had such fun. I made this layout:
My parents got Little Dude some jeans for Christmas and I am shocked at how much he LOVES them. Enough to model for me. Enough to want to wear them ALL the time. At around the same time Scott had a pair of jeans he did NOT love and rather than just get rid of them I thought I could use the denim and voila...
I sewed the Blank Pennants right onto the pocket for the title. And sewed back and forth over this 2 Inch Circle Tag:
and then used this 2 Inch Circle Tag for the journaling:
The cute background paper is GCD Studios, the wood veneer star is Studio Calico and the buttons are Basic Grey. I think the Jeans are Old Navy lol and I have PLENTY more denim to play with--any suggestions?
Thanks for stopping by!
:) Rebecca
