Summer Sunshine!

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday this week is Summer Sunshine using Simon Says Stamp products! Living in the Valley of the Sun for the last 12 years makes me very familiar with summer sunshine ;) so I decided to take part in the challenge.
I stamped the background of this card using the Simon Says Stamp cling background You Matter using Simon Says Stamp Embossing Ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I created sun rays by masking off triangles of the card panel with Post It Tape and inking with Simon Says Stamp Duckling and Sunshine inks. See how I created these inked sun rays and completed the card in this video:

Check out all the supplies I used down below. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ombre Shaker Cards

It is so easy to make shaker cards with Queen and Co. card kits that it can be fun to take it up a notch and create ombre shaker cards!
Customize the front of your shaker using blended Distress Inks.
Fill the shaker card with an ombre variety of Toppings.
Add coordinating sentiments and Queen and Co embellishments like Sparklers.

These shaker cards were so fun to make and pack such a punch, I will definitely be making more ombre shaker cards soon!

Same Cut File New Layout

When it comes to background cut files there are some that I have used over and over again. I especially like cut files with circles that are large enough to fill with patterned paper and embellishments. I have used this cur file on several different layouts over the last few years and each time it looks different!

If you vary the papers you use and the background and of course all the embellishmemts and photos, it won't look anything like your older version. Usually I cut my photos into circles with this cut file, so this time I opted to use small contact photos that I tucked into the corners.

I loved the green patterned paper for the cut file and I used the kraft cardstock as the background because I had run out of white cardstock.

So take a look at your background cut files and see if you can give an old one new life by using it with the current Scrapbook Circle kit!

Thanks for stopping by!
