Winner and Another Giveaway!

It is starting to feel a bit like the 12 days of Christmas around here! What with the Simple Stories blog hop, the Imaginisce challenge, my own giveaway and the Core'dinations challenge--there have been lots of chances to win scrappy goodies lately! I just wanted to take a moment to specifically thank everyone who commented on my Simple Stories December Daily post. So many of you left such sweet comments and I could tell from so many of those comments that you not only scrolled through the pictures but actually read what I had written. I was so touched that I decided to give away some Simple Stories product myself. Unused, unopened, bought specifically for one of you! So.... Papercrafting Pixie...I am sending you some Simple Stories Handmade Holiday SN@P items (I emailed you!).

Before I talk about today's giveaway, I want to share some layouts I haven't had a chance to share yet. They are all from the Pink Paislee Portrait collection --one of my favorites :) The whole collection is available at Scrapbook.com HERE. I love every bit of this collection!
The die cuts...
 the stamp set...
 the Photograms...
you can even use it for summer photos...
Now I love the whole collection, but I really, really, really LOVE the stamp set. And I have an extra set to give away. So if you want to win this:
leave me a comment by Sunday at midnight!

Core'dinations Hard Core Crop!

Welcome to the 2nd Hard Core Crop! We are bringing in the Holiday season with challenges designed to get you inspired to create for the Holidays. Please head over to the Core blog for crop rules. And we have the Facebook HCC crop page here  for you to chat and hang out with fellow Hard Core Croppers so make sure you head over there, too. You never know when challenges or giveaways will pop up over there!

Every year I find myself looking at the very expensive, layered gift tags at the store. Sometimes I pass them up, sometimes I buy them regretting how much money I spend on them. For this crop I decided to make my own. Since we are starting so early, they are actually quite easy to make in bulk! I started with the Core'dinations Tags and some various holiday colored Core'dinations cardstock:
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss each piece of Core with a different patterned embossing folder. Then I found a rectangular punch that perfectly fit the center of my tags and finally layered them with embellishments.
You can use wood veneer:
or bakers twine and pins:
or bells and other shaped punches:
or ribbon and little letter stamps that say To and From:
or tulle and Therm O Web Glitter Dust.
No matter what you choose, your tags will be cute, handmade, cheap and quick to assemble. So my challenge to you is to pull out some Core and make some layered gift tags. You can use premade Core'dinations tags or make the tags from Core'dinations cardstock yourself. Either way, make sure you layer some more Core'dinations on top! For this challenge you must make at least TWO (2) tags per entry. A random winner will be chosen to receive this fabulous Core'dinations prize:

Contestants for this challenge must use the Linkinz below. If you do not have a blog, please feel free to use Photobucket or Flickr or any other photo sharing sight that provides links. Challenges must include Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock. You may not combine this challenge with any of the other HCC challenges but you may complete this challenge as many times as you like. You must link by 8 pm, December 2nd (Sunday). All winners must email ellen_sosnoski@coredinations.com by DECEMBER 12th with their name, address, phone number and prize the won in the subject line. For ex.: Core'dinations Crop Tillie Prize pack Winner.
Have fun!

Today it is my turn to take part in the Imaginisce I-Challenge! My challenge is a technique challenge. Just add stitching hand stitching or machine stitching. I chose to add both to my layout:

Simple Stories December Daily Blog Hop

I was so excited to work on a December Daily album for Simple Stories this year. Do you know I  have never done a December album before. I think I have mentioned before that mini albums stress me out? The whole designing something on such a small space and making it look organized and consistent while at the same time interesting and beautiful? Too much pressure. But, Simple Stories does A LOT of the work for you. The SN@P albums come in a bunch of cute colors including red and green. I went with green for mine. And there are all types of products like full pages, mini cards, larger cards etc in the simply beautiful Handmade Holiday collection. Add to that a variety of page protectors and you have yourself one quick and easy December Daily.
I completed the bulk of this album for CHA, but I added some trims--
and more embellishing here and there:
I created basic page backdrops and used number banner stickers from Handmade Holiday to mark each day from December 1st to the 25th.
On some of the full sized pages I added some pictures from last year, just to get an idea of what it will look like when it is completed.

I made sure to include lots of pockets here and there for extra pictures and tickets--
--especially since this year we will have ticket stubs from the Polar Express! I think I am more excited than the kids about this!
This is such a quick and easy way to include all the little traditions we try and do each year like the Target gingerbread house. Yes, it is from Target--don't judge, it is after all a tradition!
And of course--the BIG day...
Now, December Dailies are just like snowflakes--no two are exactly alike--so you must go and see the entire Design Team's take on this fun project! Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous and wildly talented Shellye McDaniel. But before you go, don't forget to leave a comment here. Are you doing a December Daily this year? Inquiring minds want to know ;) If you follow my blog you can leave a second comment saying you now do or already did. There will be prizes awarded to random blog hop participants, so don't be shy--comment everywhere! And here is the list of blogs in case you get lost:
