Every year I find myself looking at the very expensive, layered gift tags at the store. Sometimes I pass them up, sometimes I buy them regretting how much money I spend on them. For this crop I decided to make my own. Since we are starting so early, they are actually quite easy to make in bulk! I started with the Core'dinations Tags and some various holiday colored Core'dinations cardstock:
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss each piece of Core with a different patterned embossing folder. Then I found a rectangular punch that perfectly fit the center of my tags and finally layered them with embellishments.
You can use wood veneer:
or bakers twine and pins:
or bells and other shaped punches:
or ribbon and little letter stamps that say To and From:
or tulle and Therm O Web Glitter Dust.
No matter what you choose, your tags will be cute, handmade, cheap and quick to assemble. So my challenge to you is to pull out some Core and make some layered gift tags. You can use premade Core'dinations tags or make the tags from Core'dinations cardstock yourself. Either way, make sure you layer some more Core'dinations on top! For this challenge you must make at least TWO (2) tags per entry. A random winner will be chosen to receive this fabulous Core'dinations prize:
Have fun!

Great Challenge!
Thanks for such an inspiring challenge. Rather than the complex designs, I used some basic foundations cs and went to 'town' making even more of these really fun tags. When the pressure is off to worry about tons of product, these really start to fly together! http://scrapbooksandcows.blogspot.com/
