About the Boys

I have received comments that the boys of the house don't get as much airplay on this here blog as Little Miss. True, true. I mean, she is star quality and she is an attention hog and she is super darn cute in photos, but the boys are easy on the eyes too.

So, I was taking some shots of this one outside.
He needed a picture for work and I wanted to be able to take the shot from above. Since he is six feet tall and I am 5'4" on a tall day, I asked him to squat down in front of the cement wall.

Little Man was immediately curious and wanting to be just like his Daddy he started squatting in front of the same wall.
Thing is I don't really need him to squat to get a shot of him from above.

However, his cooperation was duly noted and will count towards extra ice cream tonight should he finish his dinner.

Eighties Dress Up Day

So it made me feel a bit old when I saw that Little Miss's preschool calendar included an 80's dress up day this month. I mean 60's or 70's dress up day--fine. But 80's?? Wasn't that like last year? After quick calculation I realized that 1980 was actually over 20 (sharp intake of breath) years ago. When did that happen?

But, Little Miss was thrilled to be involved in 80's dress up day, although she continued to call it "Ladies Dress Up Day." I honestly don't know where she has ever even heard the word LADY?! But when I explained that she would be dressing up like Mommy did when Mommy was younger she was pretty excited. And when she realized she got to wear all 20 bangle bracelets, a side pony tail and leggings as pants, she was over the moon. Here she is in all her 80's glory...

Exciting News from GCD Studios!

Remember this post? Well, the announcement was a blast. They announced the entire design team member by member. But the best part, for me, was that I was chosen as one of the spotlight gals! Here is the post, scroll down, I promise my name is there! I was super excited to be on any of the lists at all since I heard that over 470 people submitted applications!! I will let you all know when my work is spotlighted on the GCD Studios blog.

Kids in Containers

Often these two can barely be in the same room without fighting like cats and dogs and yet, they constantly cram themselves into the same small, contained space.  I don't have any good pictures of the many times they both want to sit in the same laundry basket, but I do have a few other examples. There was the time last year that they both had to get into the two inches of water in this party bucket:
From that picture came the idea for Bucket o' Babes:

A few nights ago they were at it again... I am thinking of something similar, along the lines of Babies in a Box?
