My Favorite Things (Die-namics and Stamps) and Simple Stories Say Cheese

I had the pleasure of working with some super awesome Die-namics dies and clear stamps from My Favorite Things (designed by Laina Lamb) all with a Disney/theme park theme.
I had been hoarding a Simple Stories Say Cheese autograph book too. So it was time to put them all together and make a mini album about our trip over Spring break. I love how the large star die can be filled in with different designs of stamps.
On the inside cover I used a Simple Stories memorabilia pocket to house our tickets. On the right you can see the "Bring on the Fun" stamp (perfect for pointing to a fun photo!). I can't say enough about the quality of the stamps. They are that good quality acrylic that creates a sharp image.
On the left side here I die cut the Magical flag in black and red and filled in the black die cut with the red letters. The dies are great quality too and create nice crisp cuts. You're Quite a Character is a perfect stamp for all our character photos :)
My Favorite Things also has a coordinating alpha die set which I used to cut out the Pluto letters.
More stamps on dies and I did not fill in the die cut Magical flag here, just placed it over lighter paper to make it stand out. How cute is the "Never Grow Up" stamp?
Here I combined the This is My Happy Place Stamp and large Magic chipboard letters.
On the left page here I added two die cut stars over a film strip sticker and stamped I'm All Ears over that.
Lots more die cuts here.
I had never really stamped on a die cut before, but after using these stars I am hooked! Love the unique look you can achieve.
Can you tell how much fun I had working with these stamps and dies! Definitely check out My Favorite Things and Laina Lamb's Design - they are all so cool!

Simple Stories NEW Good Day Sunshine

I love everything about summer. From the warm sunshine to the relaxed schedules to the many, many dips in the pool. I have always been a summer person. So each year since Simple Stories first summer collection I have waited anxiously to get my hands on the latest and greatest scrapbooking goodies for summer lovers. Good Day Sunshine does NOT disappoint! It is loaded with amazing summer colors, deep rich wood grains, fun playful images and much more. I think the rainbow ombre paper might be my favorite. Check out the Simple Stories blog to see all the details and check out the whole line.
I usually hide some journaling or memorabilia in the Simple Stories Memorabilia pockets, but this time I added a strip of wallet photos.
I LOVED fussy cutting out a bunch of viewfinder circles and popped up some other fun circles on top.
I literally can't say enough about how much I love this collection. I guess it is fortunate that I will have about 6 months of photos to document with it (since our "summer" in Arizona is a long one to say the least)!
I also made a card based on a sketch from the May issue of Scrapbook Generation's Magazine.

Have you ever seen such a fun combination of ombre, rainbow, polka dots, hearts confetti, epoxy dots and more? Good Day Sunshine will be hitting the stores any day now, so run and scoop it up because summer is on its way!

Scrapbook Circle One Item Wonder

This month at Scrapbook Circle my One Item Wonder for the May Kit High Five is the Alison Kreft/Webster's Pages photo corners. I decided to use them to create a unique embellishment.
I lined them up in a row and cut off the additional paper or adhesive so they resemble an arrow.
But I didnt stop there! I covered them with a THICK layer of glossy accents to give them a 3-dimensional shiny look. Then I attach the whole thing on top of a cardstock card I cut with the free Scrapbook Circle cut file and layered some puffy stickers, sequins and Jillibean characters on top. The Heidi Swapp glitter polaroid frame pulls it all together.
I also loved the exclusive Scrapbook Circle kit that came with High Five and was sure to use that on every layout!
Do you have any clever uses for photo corners? I would love to hear! There may be a few High Five kits left, but hurry I am sure they are going fast!
