Did you ever buy an expensive monthly card kit, only to find it sitting on your shelf untouched months later? I certainly have! So I have some tips and tricks for using up the supplies in the kit so you can take the supplies that are not able to be used up like a blending brush or stamp set and add those to your stash for cards in the future.
Today I am sharing 10 cards made with the Simon Says Stamp May 2022 card kit!
In each card, I try to find ways to use up the cardstock and patterned paper in the kit, while still making each card unique!
Plus, I don't use supplies outside the card kit! You should be able to make a bunch of cards with just what comes inside the kit (other than adhesive or other basics).
So in today's video I share tips and tricks for using up those it supplies, like using both sides of a 6x6 patterned paper on one card.
Or letting the patterned paper be the main design element...
or multiple colors of stamping on a basic piece of patterned paper rather than reaching for cardstock.
Or heart embossing on patterned paper.
And even using up tiny scraps of cardstock and patterned paper to complete a clean and simple card.
Once those items were all used up I did want to share that you can continue to use the other things like inks and stamps to make a colorful background...
and throw in the clear embossing powder for a resist ink blended effect!
To see all the tips and tricks, check out today's video!
There are still a few May kits left! Grab them below before they are gone or check out some of the individual supplies below. Thanks for stopping by!
I am a very happy subscriber to Simon Says Stamp Card Kit club and I have 5 reasons why!
I've also created 5 cards with the July kit Home Sweet Home. And while this kit did sell out, many of the individual products like the stamp set and patterned paper are still available. I will link to those products down below. By the way, not missing out on a kit is one of the main reasons I am a subscriber! Check out the other reasons and some card inspiration in this video:
