There are four new colors of Simon Hurley Lunar Paste!

These new colors are four gorgeous neutrals!

I used all four colors of Lunar Paste as the base of colors on this 3d embossed card front. I added some colors on top of the neutrals and loved the mixing and metallic outcome!

There is also a Winter Scene Stencil set and I used Grrr! for the trees and Shady for the houses.

Here I used the Cookie Dough Lunar Paste to create a Santa "cookie" with a bite out of it!

I am so excited to be able to share the brand new Simon Hurley for Ranger Ink Solar Pastes!

These pearlescent pastes look like a light hint of color but then magically shine on black cardstock!

Today I am sharing a whole bunch of techniques with the new Solar Pastes including swiping on embossed cardstock,

swiping a rainbow on dark cardstock,

or tinting with Simon Hurley's ink refills!

I love the artistic look of paint swipes on cards, but I struggle to create the paint swipes I envision when creating!

So you can imagine my excitement when I saw the new Simon Hurley for Ranger Ink Paint Swatches Cling Mounted Rubber Stamps.

The set includes 4 paint swipe shapes and I found tons of ways to use them!

Everything from housing a sentiment or an image to creating an abstract art background to a pale canvas to stamp and heat emboss over and more!

These stamps can be used with any of your favorite inks, but I loved the way they paired with Simon Hurley Inks!

And I mixed in a bunch of the other new stamps, dies and stencils from this month's release!

Simon Hurley for Ranger Ink's release always includes amazing background stamps and Peel Apart Background Stamps!

In this video, I share 5 different ways to use them including watercolor resist and gray and white background as a background for colorful stamped images and sentiment.

Or background resist with Lunar Paste.

Or combining with a stencil and inking. I also added pencil coloring and white gel pen details.

Stamping foam is always a fun way to achieve the inverse of the background stamp image.

You can use stamping foam with inks or even with Lunar Paste!

My favorite kind of cardmaking supply is the kind you can use in lots of different ways to make lots of different cards. That is certainly true of the NEW Simon Hurley for Ranger Peel Apart Background Stamp, Plaid Builder. The basic idea is to stamp the stripes in one color in one direction and then rotate  the paper and ink up the stamp with a second color of ink to create basic plaid.

With Peel Apart stamps, you can remove several parts of the stamp to create a plaid with more white space.

For a shiny look, try creating a Lunar Paste background and then stamping and heat embossing with a glitter embossing powder in one direction only for fun stripes.

Or stamp the background in one color and then use stamping foam to create a shape of plaid on the card.

Or stamp in ink and then rotate and stamp and heat emboss for a holiday look!
