I really struggle creating artistic backgrounds with alcohol inks, but I love them! So I decided to try partial alcohol inking where I would leave lots of white space to add sentiments or embellishments. But, I realize that Yupo and speciality cardstocks can be expensive if you are only using a small part of the cardstock. So I share a comparison between Yupo white cardstock and photo paper...
and Translucent Yupo and vellum...
and then I created one on acetate for good measure!
