Summer Scrappin Series with Audrey Yeager| 15 Minute Beach Layout

I was so excited to be a part of the Summer Scrappin 21 Days of Summer hosted by Audrey Yeager. Please check out Audrey's YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/audreykit1 She shares tons of scrapbooking videos and all of her layouts are amazing. It had been a WHILE since I scrapbooked so it was awesome to have a reason to do so. I've been so crazy busy with work and my kids are back in school. Their school does not have busses so I do a TON of driving back and forth and to practices etc. Doesn't leave a lot of free time.
But my daughter and I had taken a trip back in June to visit her birthplace, San Francisco. One of the best moments when she got to see the ocean. She hasn't been to a beach since she was a baby. Even though the water was FREEZING she was so happy to take her shoes and socks off and run in.

For this layout, since I have been so short on time, I decided to make it super simple and create it in a half an hour or less. Once I pulled all the products together it took me about 15 minutes to complete the layout. And that is pretty much all the time I have these days.
Even in that short time frame I used a couple of products and techniques that I often use in cardmaking, like sprirtzing Distress Oxide Ink Spray on the kraft cardstock to make it look like ocean spray
If you would like to see how quickly this layout came together with a bit of pre-planning, check out my video here:

If you want to check out the products I used, they will be linked down below. Thanks so much for stopping by!

WAFFLE FLOWER August 2019 RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY!

Today is the day! The Waffle Flower August 2019 release is live and it is a fun one! Stick around to the end and I will share how you can enter to win a $25 gift card to Waffle Flower's shop! Here are all the cards I made with this release. Starting with a couple of cards I made with the new Bouquet Builder 5 Stamps and Dies:
I stamped the bouquet in white pigment ink on navy cardstock (can we please talk about how my spell check constantly changes cardstock to yardstick LOL???) and then colored the image with Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils. I made the gold stripes with the Waffle Flower Horizontal Stripes Die. I love the way the pencils look on navy cardstock!
For this one I placed the image vertically on the card and colored the image with Copic markers.
For the background, I used the Big Dots die from this release. (I'll share more about this die in just a bit!)
Next up, is the card I made with the Make Waves Stamp Set. I stamped the images and then cut out masks to cover them up so I could ink blend on top of them.
Then I created a shaker window for them to swim inside!
I used the same Make Waves set for this ATC card. I love the ATC Layers Die for quickly and easily creating ATC cards and layering scalloped rectangles and straight rectangles.
The Big Dots Die and Big Dots Sentiment Stamp Set is right up my alley!  I love the bold and graphic effects you can create with it and the straight graphic font is so fun!
For this one I ink blended all the dots a different color fo Distress Oxide Ink.
For this one I simply layered die cut cardstock over a different color of cardstock. So easy and yet such a bright impact!
Last, but not least, I used the Color Combos Die and the Color Combos Tag Die to organize my cardstock swatches!
I love seeing all the colors of cardstock I have and how they work together!
I created a video sharing how and why I created these cardstock swatches here:

I hope to do a whole series of organizational/swatching videos using the new Color Combos bundle! If there is something in particular you'd be interested to see, let me know!

Ok, now let's talk prizes! Make your way through the hop and comment on all the hop locations for one of three chances to win a $25 gift card! All the hop stops are here:
