Scrapbook Circle Be Real

Ok, confession time. I did not finish my 2015 Project Life album. Insert shocked gasps here. I know, I am the worst. And then I didn't start 2016 either and that's when I knew there was a problem. It had gotten to be too much and had become a chore and I wasn't enjoying it anymore. But my kids LOVE looking back at those albums. So, what to do? I decided with this assignment to re-think (once again) what Project Life or pocket page scrapbooking means to me. I decided it means getting my phone or everyday photos into an album. And I decided that album did not NEED to be 12x12. Since I am using my phone photos and most of those print well at 3x4 or 4x4, I decided a 6x8 album was best. So I grabbed a Simple Stories 6x8 album, the Scrapbook Circle kit and got to work.

I love this page protector and will probably use it a lot for my album. I used the 6x6 paper pad from this month's Scrapbook Circle add on to fill a bunch of the squares.

Having coordinating embellishments in the kit makes pulling these spreads together quick and fun!

And in just a couple of pages (and in not much time at all) I was able to complete March! Some of the planner supplies like the Simple Stories clips were perfect for these spreads too!

I used the 12x12 papers from the kit too. They were perfect for monthly dividers that I made in 6x8 sleeves. This is my "cover page." I love the exclusive Scrapbook Circle acrylic word and adhered it right to the outside of my pocket page.

This is one of the monthly dividers. I used the PinkFresh washi strips on top of the fun patterned papers.

And some of the larger embellishments were perfect on these divider pages too!IMG_7788

So if you are anything like me...before you give up on a project, think about what you like, what is making you crazy and what you could do differently that would make the project seem more do-able! There are no rules here! One thing is certain though...Scrapbook Circle kits make ANY project more fun! :)

  1. I am TOTALLY like you! ;) I have my pics, have the stuff but have been WAY to busy to have the mojo to do it! THANK you for inspiring me to "rethink" my process! LOVE this idea of a smaller album...
