Simple Stories Say Cheese II and Enchanted - 2 Sides of the Disney Coin

Last year for Spring break we went to Disneyland for the first time as a family. I still have about a billion photos that I want to scrapbook from that quick trip! I loved Simple Stories original Say Cheese collection and the latest Say Cheese II is just as awesome.
With the traditional red, black and white Disney colors, it was perfect for a ton of our Disney photos. The gold foiling in the die cuts from the Bits and Pieces pack is such a fabulous touch! I also adore the wingless Bradz and the glittered gold epoxy dots!
But some photos (think princess and the castle!) require a softer color palette. Lucky for us, Simple Stories heard the call for a girly Disney-inspired line and brought us Enchanted!
Of course, Disneyland and other theme parks work well with these lines, but they are more versatile than that. Check out my layout about a photo shoot I did with my less-than-cooperative daughter.
Both of these lines are so fun and playful, feature both cute and beautiful elements and can be used for a wide variety of paper crafting projects. Besides who doesn't love having another reason to get back to Disney? ;)

To Theme or Not to Theme with Scrapbook Circle

Valentine's Day themed papers are my favorite themed papers ahead of birthday, Halloween and even Christmas. Why? Because they are so versatile. Sure you can use them for scrapbooking Valentine's Day or even creating a Valentine's Day card. I used the Scrapbook Circle February Kit Today is Beautiful and the add on Dream Big to create this card.

But you can also use Valentine's themed papers and embellishments to create every day general love themed layouts like I did here.

A gold foil vellum heart could absolutely work for a Valentine, but I love it tucked behind the navy paper and stitched down.

In fact I used several pieces from the Crate Paper ephemera kit, including several for this cluster of embellishments here.IMG_1452
Do you prefer to use themed paper for themed subjects or do you prefer to work outside of the box?
