Hi There Cosmo Cricket!!

I know about a million people are submitting applications for this call, but I just couldnt resist the opportunity to work with these amazing products. Usually I like to mix things up, but I recently had my birthday and treated myself ;) to nearly the full collections of Early Bird and Snorkel. All the patterned papers, chipboard and ribbons from these projects are Cosmo Cricket

Here is a thank you card made with the Early Bird collection.
Here is a summer layout made with the Snorkel line.

And a christmas layout from the Oh Joy line (also some Jack's World, Early Bird and Mr.Campy)...

This one is mainly from the Mr. Campy line...

And here is a little gift box I made from the container that the Get Happy ribbon was in. The cool thing about using these awesome double sided papers on the clear gift box is you really only have to fully paper one side (to save more for another fun project!) and this way some of the treat will also show through.

Thanks for looking!

American Crafts Weekly Challenge

The AC challenge this week is to use AC Journaling and Accent stickers on a layout. I just bought myself some of the journaling stickers for my birthday (hahaha) so I put this layout together. The journaling sticker is from the Backyard Remarks collection. The cupcakes and heart stickers are from the Craft Fair Accents Remarks. The solid and patterned papers are all various American Crafts as well as the large cut out heart, small cut our heart and scallops. The puffy stickers are also AC. The only non AC item is the trim, which I believe is Making Memories. The picture quality could be better but we have not had an ounce of sun all day. I am not complaining because we could desperately use the rain, but it doesn't make it easy to get a good image!!

I have been busting with excitement to share some happy news with you all.  I have been selected for my first ever stint on a design team! The awesome and fun ScrapTiffany site which offers super fun monthly kits has chosen their first design team and I am on it! I am so thrilled and can't wait to get started. Of course I will keep you all posted and show off my work for them as soon as I can. For now, go on over to their site and check out the announcement. Woohooo!

Turning Four

It has been another long hiatus. I have more excuses. Mom came to visit. Little Miss had multiple birthday parties. It was a full and chaotic week. But I can't let any more time pass before documenting the fact that our little girl is not so little anymore. She had her 4th birthday on Saturday. Then she had her doctor's check up yesterday. Not only is she not little, she is actually in the 75-90 percentile for her height. In fact in the last 4 months she has grown almost four inches! It seems like just yesterday she was tiny enough to sleep in a baby swing.
Then, just days after this (her first birthday) she started walking.

By the time her 2nd birthday rolled around she had already become a "big" sister.
And by the time she turned 3, she had already been in preschool for 6 months.
And here she is on her fourth birthday. Riding a real bike with training wheels, going to preschool 3 days a week and starting pre-K in August.
Everyone says it goes so fast, enjoy it while it lasts, blah, blah, blah. But seriously the last 4 years have gone in a blink of an eye. I vividly remember on the day she was born when they handed me a blanket in the shape of a burrito and how she had managed to poke out one tiny finger because she refused to be completely swaddled. Many things haven't changed a bit. She is still stubborn, strong willed and gorgeous. And even though she makes me say those mother type things that you never expected yourself to say, she amazes me on a daily basis. We are so lucky to have this wonderful girl in our lives. Happy Birthday Little Miss.

October Afternoon, a sketch from CMK, promises of more to come

Wow. It has been a while. Lots of comings and goings. I have started a birthday post for Little Miss, but it is not done I wanted to get this one posted now, so you'll have to wait on that for a bit.

Here is the Friday Formula from Create My Keepsake this week.
Awesome sketch, right? Of course I turned to my October Afternoon papers. Just can't seem to get enough of this stuff. Here is my take on the sketch:

And now I am off to link this post back up to the contest they are having right now for their new Road Map papers, which look fabulous.  Go check them out on the October Afternoon blog.

Bouncing Birthday Party

Little Miss celebrated her birthday party on Saturday at an indoor bounce place. Sometime last year she had been invited to a party at the same place and refused to go on any of the bouncers or slides. Scott had to don a wrist band and drag her with him before she realized how fun it was. Sometime over the year and after several more visits, she decided she wanted HER party there. A bunch of her friends came and they pretty much all ran and bounced like maniacs for 75 minutes.  She wouldn't stop. Not to have her picture taken. Barely to say hello to guests. And she ran from bouncer to slide and back again without giving either of her parents much of the time of day. It was such a trip and we were just so glad she had such a great time.

Stay Tuned

I have a few fun things to share. First off, Create My Keepsake and Pink Paislee are hosting a contest this month. Each layout submitted to the contest must include only PP products and must use one of the names of their new lines for the title of the layout. There are 4 new lines (Fascinating, Enchanting, Captivating and Fetching) so I decided to do one of each since PP is one of my all time favs. Here they are:

I have some exciting news to share at the beginning of next week, so be sure to check back :) How is that for a cliff hanger?
