In my recent Stocking Stuffer for Cardmakers video,
I tried out the Karin DecoBrush Metallic markers and asked if anyone was interested in seeing more ideas on how to use them in cardmaking and the answer was a resounding YES! So today I am sharing three ways to use the Karin DecoBrush Metallic and Pigment markers on cards!
The best thing about these markers is that they work on lots of different surfaces. So, they show up beautifully on black cardstock.
They work on acetate too!
And they color beautifully on vellum!
Check out all three techniques and cards in today's video!
And you can see the individual pigment markers I purchased and the metallic set down below. I also linked to the full set of pigment markers, but at $300(!!!) I definitely recommend trying out a few individuals before grabbing a full set!
Envelopes can get expensive! So I decided to try The Stamp Market's Standard A2 Envelope Die and Envelope Liner Die. Plus I grabbed their Basic Stripes 6x8 Patterned Paper pad.
These dies are so easy to use! Plus I love that you can make an envelope any color you want and the coordinating liners are so cute!
Not only are these envelopes easy to put together, they also perfectly fit even a dimensional A2 card!
Check out this video to see the dies and how they work!

I had a bit of a coloring breakthrough using the SketchMarker Basic 1 Set! The ink blends so easily and the bullet nib tip makes it so simple to scrub out harsh lines between colors!
I had so much fun coloring this stamped image from Hero Arts!
If you've ever struggled with alcohol marker coloring I highly recommend this set. It amazes me that for such an affordable price they are refillable and they will have replaceable nibs in 2022! Plus this set is 36 markers out of their FOUR HUNDRED color palette! I will definitely be adding more of these to my stash! Check them out in today's video!
You can check out their entire store on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3p2WhV3And they've generously offered a 10% promo code for you all! Promo code is 10SMREBECCA for extra 10% off for all their products until January 15.https://amzn.to/3IZF2vK
You may remember I reviewed a set of Arrtx brushmarkers in this video:
I LOVE them! They are super juicy, come in great colors and make it really easy for beginners to color in stamped images for cards.
So when Arrtx reached out and asked if I would like to try their latest holiday set, I jumped at the chance!
This time I tried the Alp markers which have a bullet tip on one end and a chisel tip on the other. And I LOVED them! I was able to color this entire holiday card with JUST the 12 markers included in this set (10 alcohol markers and 2 metallic paint pens!)!! Plus I think this is some of my best alcohol ink coloring! Check it out and see the colors from this set swatched out in today's video!
Grab this set while it is still on sale! The links are all below! Thanks for stopping by!
NEW AFFORDABLE Arrtx Alcohol Marker Set for the Holidays!
Dec 13, 2021
Arteza reached out to me to see if I'd like to try out any of their fabulous art supplies and I realized that I had not yet done a video on watercolor pencils! They kindly sent me their 120 watercolor pencil set as well as watercolor brushes and a watercolor paper pad!
The first thing I do with new art supplies is swatch them out with Waffle Flower swatch stamps and dies!
Once I saw how the colors looked on paper and how they reacted to a certain amount of water, I went to work picking colors for my first poinsettia card:
But, when you have 120 colors, one card with traditional colors is not enough! So I set to work creating poinsettias based on a color combo I imagined from the Nutcracker fairy portion of Fantasia!
I am not a watercolor artist, just a cardmaker, but I had so much fun watercoloring both sets of flowers and love the way the Arteza pencils, brushes and paper worked so well together!
Check out the video to see the colors swatched out and to see both cards!
