Simple Stories Harvest Lane

There are 2 types of scrapbook releases that are always my favorites Valentines and Fall. Valentines because I love hearts and use them all the time and Fall because I seriously LOVE the Fall. Even though we don't get real Fall weather until late in November, I still love it and look forward to the respite from the heat every year. I love trips to the pumpkin patch. I love caramel apples. I love cool nights. I love it all! And Simple Stories released a Fall collection at CHA that is now my favorite Fall collection OF ALL TIME. It is called Harvest Lane and it is AMAZING. Check it out:
LOVE every little bit of it!! Here is the layout I made for CHA using Harvest Lane:
I can't say enough about the colors, designs, the stickers, everything about this line makes me happy.
Here is my Harvest Lane card:
Go check out the entire collection here and my blog post with details here.

Summer is Almost Gone!

YIKES! We have one more full week before the kids go back to school and I go back to work! Where did the summer go? Little Miss informed me that "we didn't even get to do anything fun yet!" Nice. How soon we forget trips to Build a Bear, summer movies, a million dips in the pool, lunches out, ceramic painting, fireworks, baking and the trillion other summer type activities we did. Oh well, there's always next year--HA! The craziest part about summer being over and school starting up is how much closer to the holidays we are! If I REALLY wanted to do lots of cool handmade stuff, I would be doing it now right? Well, guess what? I DID actually start some holiday crafting! I made this Fall frame using Therm O Web i Craft dots and Glitter Dust:
If you would like to see how I made those tissue paper flowers, I have a brief tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog.
And this week, Imaginisce is revealing its adorable Christmas collection, called Christmas Cheer! Today on the Imaginisce blog you can see my ornaments...
and layout:
Every day this week Imaginisce designers are showcasing this adorable line and if you comment all week long you have a chance to win the collection!
Also this week, speaking of back to school, Scrapbook.com has released its August Kit called Pencil Lead. It is a very cool kit with lots of Jenni Bowlin and the cutest Smash clips from K&Company.
One thing I really liked about this kit was that, while I was able to use it on the preschool page above, it had a very sophisticated feel and could be used on school themed layouts for any age.
I've got lots more to share, so I will definitely be back again tomorrow!
Have a great night!

Imganisce Everyday Inspiration

This week at Imaginisce we are using everyday items to inspire our paper projects. I decided to use this pin board as my inspiration:
I actually made the pin board a few years back at a class at my local scrapbook store. The polka dot fabric is actually a pocket. I used the basic design, the idea of a pin board and several of the colors (grey and teal) as my inspiration for this layout:
I cut the haxagons out with my Cameo and backed them with Imaginisce patterned paper from the Geek is Chic and Makin' Waves collections.

The little die cut ruler and stacked journaling sticker are also from the Geek is Chic line.

And of course I made my very own "push pins" (they are actually brads) with the i top (LOVE that thing!). Check out the Imaginisce blog all week to see everyone's cool takes on this challenge.
Stay cool and have a great week!

Imaginisce Mix and Match

We are having a fun week at Imaginisce mixing and matching collections. I love it when multiple collections play well together ;) I used some Geek is Chic, Makin' Waves, Hello Cupcake and maybe even teensy bit of Hippity Hop to make this layout:

I started by laying different width strips of different colors down. Yup, I cut the chevron out with my Cameo. I could not love that thing more :) The big Geek is Chic die cuts were perfect for the title.

Do you stick to one collection when you craft or do you like to mix and match? I really like the ease of using one collection, but it is surprising how fun the outcome can be when you mix it up a bit. If you post your own Mix and Match Imaginisce projects on the Imaginisce Facebook page, you have the chance to be featured on the Imaginisce blog!
Have a great rest of the week and weekend!

Scrapbook Circle Printable

Did you know that every Scrapbook Circle kit comes with a free pdf printable that includes journaling spots and little embellishments? My focus for this month's kit was to use that printable and I used a bunch of the pdf on this layout:
Since I was working with the light woodgrain background I decided to print the pdf on Kraft cardstock. I love the look! Some of the circles on the printable were perfect size for one of my circle punches and I decided to go with the circle theme. I popped several up with Therm O Web 3D Zots. I wrapped the gorgeous Maya Road trim around one popped up circle for a quick and easy flower:
others I layered with Minds's Eye Brads:
I also cut out some of the banner pieces, folded them in half and stapled them to make this little banner:
I love how the printable adds a fun, unique element that no one else's layouts have--unless they buy a Scrapbook Circle kit of course!

Scrapbook Circle Lift

Each month the Scrapbook Circle Design Team gets a chance to lift some of the awesome subscriber pages that are posted to the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page. This month I was up. Check out the Scrapbook Circle blog for the original by Elizabeth. And this is my lift:
I stayed with one vertical 4x6 photo and a border sticker on the bottom of the page. The border stickers and butterfly and "Fabulous" are all from the Simple Stories Fabulous collection sticker sheet.
I did some machine stitching (of course lol) and some popping up with Therm O Web adhesives. And some misting with Studio Calico Mister Huey's.
and how much do you love the hexagon patterned paper from Echo Park?
Dont forget to load up your Scrapbook Circle layouts to the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page if you would like to be lifted too!

Scrapbook Circle's Sunshine Day

The July Scrapbook Circle kit is called Sunshine Day.

It is filled with My Mind's Eye, brand new Studio Calico and Echo Park. It is a happy, summery, fun kit. My first layout was so fun to make:

I love when they read together. :)
I also had to have the add on again this month. It is called Summer Sun and has the cutest Elle's Studio stmap in it. The add ons sell out FAST so if you want one, you better get it ASAP.
I included a lot of the fun goodies in this layout including the stamp and Studio Calico alphas which I re-colored. The burlap Glitz alphas were included in the main kit.
I cut the giant sunburst with my cameo, machine stiched around the inside and drew faux stitches with a white gel pen around the outside. I also loved the little Maya Road hanger clips:
and did you see the fun Simple Stories border sticker? The whole sheet is included in the main kit. Finally, the October Afternoon paper and Studio Calico stickers and a Mind's Eye die cut popped up with a Therm O Web 3D Zots
I will have many more layouts with this kit. I have four done already and just used a tiny bit of the goodies included!
