The Latest GCD Studios

Have you seen all the gorgeous prints in GCD Studios latest Splendor collection. Each sheet of double sided patterned is as gorgeous as the next. Two of my favorites have so many uses. The first is called Letter Tiles:
The wood grain is amazing, but the tiles are perfecting for cutting up for titles too! And this sheet called Labels and Tags includes just that--plenty of labels and tags for journaling and embellishing:
I used both along with Floral Frame and Candytuft for this layout:
I fussy cut out the Floral Frame and layered it on the Candytuft piece. Even without the linen texture, the new GCD Studios heavy duty patterned paper is perfect for machine stitching:
and the Cameo cut it beautifully for the flower and "beautiful" word in the title. The colors and patterns in this collection are nothing short of stunning, go check it out!

A great start to the weekend...

Ok, I am still sick :( The kids are still coughing. :( We have two soccer games on Saturday, I have work and we have to clean the house because Grandma and Grandpa are visiting next week. But even with all that to do, lots of exciting things to share...
First up, my Imaginisce iMagicut layout is on the Imaginisce blog today. If you haven't heard of the iMagicut you must go over and check it out. It is the cool hand held tool that cuts and sears ribbon so that it does not fray.
Next up, my introduction to the Simple Stories team was posted today: They did such nice job with the introductions and I am so excited to be a member of this team. I already posted a few layouts here but this is one I hadn't gotten to posting yet:
And last but definitely not least, have you been hopping around the 2 Peas Garden Girls Gardener's Digest March Blog Hop? Well then you would have seen one of my Remember This Scrapbook Circle layouts on 2 Peas Designer Jill Sprott's blog. So cool!
Have a great weekend!

Best.Day.Ever....going fast

There are a FEW Scrapbook Circle March kits left. If you want one, I would hurry on over to pick one up HERE. Last month's kit sold out, this month's add on already sold out. I just finished my favorite layout from this month--my EIGHTH layout!
Remember the Jenni Bowlin stencil paper from THIS LAYOUT? Well, when I misted the stencil paper, I first adhered it to white cardstock with Therm O Web Removable Zots. Once the mist was dry I peeled the Zots off and saved the masked cardstock for today's layout!
I fell in love with the Dear Lizzy stuff --so soft and pretty. The Mind's Eye journaling card seems to fit right in!
Well, we are still battling illness here (it is apparently MY turn, SIGH). So I am off to bed! Have a great night!

Imaginisce Makin Waves Release Party

Between painters in our house all day, one kid getting over being sick and the other kid coming down with the same thing, man, I am wiped. So I am a day late posting my Imaginisce Makin' Waves release projects. This line is SO fun. I love summer collections with bright colors and Makin' Waves does not disappoint:
I used the papers, Sun Kissed Die Cuts, Summer Fun Canvas Stickers and even the Fish Snag Em Stamp. I stamped a bunch of fish and colored them with Spica markers for some shine and made a fish border ;)
I used the Imaginisce i Rock a lot on these layouts. Around the sun...
on the water splash:
The i Rock gems go perfectly with this bright, happy collection.
I stitched around the blue B Side and then used a white gel pen on the sun and waves (which I cut out with my Cameo). More i Rock bling on the unbrella...
and around the sun...
One heart i Rocked (is that a verb??) onto the sunscreen is my favorite. ;) And the sand? That is a strip of brown foam adhesive which I poured glitter on top of.
There are plenty of Makin' Waves projects on the Imaginisce blog this week, so be sure to stop by and see them all and comment for your chance to win!

Spring Break Sickies

So, I think I got all caught up on my blog visiting! If somehow I missed you, please comment and let me know. I love to stop by and say hi. I had plenty of time to do just that today because I am in quarantine with a sick girl. Poor thing doesnt get sick for an entire year and then she gets it good :( So while the little dude went to school, we stayed home and watched Bee Movie and then she napped and napped some more. Today, my Scrapbook Circle lift of Fiona's layout is posted.

If you would like to have a layout lifted by the Scrapbook Circle DT be sure to keep posting layouts on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page. Do you see the delicate border on the sides? I cut that with my brand spanking new Cameo. I am so excited because I am realizing I will never have to buy another punch again!
Everything on that layout is from the nearly sold out Scrapbook Circle kit Best.Day.Ever and the already sold out add on Scattered Sunshine. Lots of Therm O Web adhesive here including Memory Tape Runner, 3D Zots, Small Zots and the SuperStik.

Before I go, I just wanted to send you over to the Imaginisce blog all week. The new summer line Makin' Waves is being released this week so we have DT projects posted all week long as well as giveaways!
Have a happy and healthy week!

Core'dinations and Imaginisce Blog Hop

All this week on the Core'dinations and Imaginisce blogs they are having a blog hop. The Imaginisce design team was sent a bunch of yummy Core'dinations cardstock and the Core'dinations design team got to play with some fun Imaginisce goodies.  Today on the Imaginisce blog, my 2 layouts are showcased. I adore Core'dinations so this assignment was a lot of fun for me.
I used a crimper, Cuttlebug and sander on that one. All my tips and tricks are posted on the Imaginisce blog so go take a look. And on this one:
I did some basic sanding and then used my Imaginisce D-Stress tool like a pen to inscribe the hearts and outline the clouds and sun/flower. It was the first time I used the D-Stress tool and it won't be the last. I basically held it like a pen and "drew" on the cardstock to inscribe it. SO much fun! Don't forget to run over and comment on the Imaginisce blog since there are giveaways to celebrate this fun hop!
Have a great weekend!

BEST.DAY.EVER.

Do you love that part in Tangled when she yells, "BEST DAY EVER!"? So cute. Well, this month's Scrapbook Circle kit is the BEST KIT EVER and is called Best.Day.Ever. Have you seen it? Take a look:
Lots of new Dear Lizzy, Lily Bee, Maya Road and the coolest Jenni Bowlin stencil paper. I used that stencil paper and misted it in a rainbow of colors and

I backed some of the letters with patterned paper.

I was happy with how it turned out, but I was even happier to see it as the Featured Project on Two Peas the other day:

So exciting! We have been battling sickies around here, so both that little surprise and then all the kind, supportive comments from friends on FB really made my week. I know I am behind on my blog visiting, but I do truly appreciate the encouraging and supportive friends I've made here and in the scrapbook community in general--you all are the best :)
Have a very Happy Friday!
