Poppystamps and Buttons Galore Blog Hop -- Prizes to Win!

Welcome to the Poppystamps and Buttons Galore blog hop! There are tons of prizes to be had, so stick around to find out how to win!   If you came here from Robin Tharaldson's blog you are in the right place! If you just happened here and you want to participate in the hop, be sure to start at the Poppystamps blog!

I had so much fun combining Poppystamps stamps and dies and Buttons Galore embellishments. First, I created a fall shaker card.

I used Poppystamps Brilliant Leaf Frame and Stitched Oak Tree Leaf dies. I also used the Magic and Sparkle stamp and die set and filled my shaker window with embellishments from the Buttons Galore Autumn Afternoon Embellishment kit.

I love shaker cards but sometimes I get frustrated that all the shaker goodies fall to the bottom of the window except when you are actively shaking the card. So I decided to find a way to make a faux shaker card where the shaker goodies stay in place.

I used the brand NEW Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Poppystamps design for Stamptember Magical Wishes. This is a limited edition stamp set so once it sells out, it will be gone for good! So be sure to grab yours as soon as possible. I will have it and all the other products I used down below. I added the Buttons Galore Sequin Tin called Festival of Lights to create the faux shaker look.

Want to see how I got those sequins and shaker goodies to quickly and easily stay put? Check out my video:

Queen and Co Tag Shaped Shaker Cards

I am still loving the Queen and Co Tag Shaped Shaker Kit. It's so versatile! I made a little shadow box shaker to create a scene where one Pretty Pink Posh Woodland Critter was inside and the others were outside. I filled the Shaker with Queen and Co. Posies. You get so much dimension by placing some critters inside the shaker and some outside.
For a totally different look, I turned the circle tag upside down to create a balloon.
Filling the "balloon" with metallic bright Pearlies creates a really fun, shiny look!

My Favorite Things Clean and Simple Challenge

My Favorite Things has a super fun set of challenges going on right now and I had to enter the Clean and Simple challenge because that is my favorite style of card design!
I had so much fun making this donut card and was reminded how much I love this set from My Favorite Things. I used the Donuts and Sprinkles stamp set, the Donuts dies and the My Favorite Things Squares and Cross Stitched Squares dies. I also used the My Favorite Things Dots and Stripes Sorbet patterned paper and My Favorite Things Black Hybrid Ink.
It's so fun that a little bit of stamping and die cutting can create such a bold impact!

Can You Stamp Sentiments with Distress Oxide Inks?

Simon Says Stamp is celebrating Stamptember! So the challenge for Wednesday is to Stamp It using Simon Says Stamp exclusive products. Conveniently, I had the September Kit Club kit waiting to be used and had wanted to see how well Distress Oxide Inks stamp sentiments.
I used the stamp set that came with the kit to stamp lines of Happy Birthday in a rainbow of Distress Oxide Inks.
I was shocked to see how clearly the Distress Oxide inks stamped the tiny detail sentiment strip! So the answer to the question is most certainly YES! And I will be using my Distress Inks for lots of stamping (sentiment and otherwise) in the future!
Check it out for yourself in this video:

Queen and Co Tag Shaped Shaker Kit

You must check out the latest Queen and Co Shaped Shaker Kit! It is a tag shaker kit and includes 3 dies and 9 foam shapes to create 9 tag shakers!
I used my shaker cards to make two totally different cards. A rainbow celebratory card that was filled with rainbow Toppings and a rainbow of Dots patterned paper.
I thought the round tags looked like Christmas ornaments. So I created two and hung them from twine and filled them with metallic toppings.
It's never too early to start making Christmas cards!
Check out this video where you can see the entire Tag Shaped Shaker kit AND how I put together these cards!

Distress Oxide Ink Stamped Background

It is true that Distress Oxide Inks are amazing for blending and techniques, but did you know they are also fabulous for stamping! This card background was stamped with three different Distress Oxide Inks and look at the detail and vibrant colors!
Check out this video to see how I created this card using the Jillibean Soup Bowl of Dreams stamps and Distress Oxide Inks:

Quick Stamp Layering and Masking

This week's Wednesday challenge on the Simon Says Stamp blog is ANYTHING GOES and a call to use Hero Arts products. Well, I just happen to love Hero Arts inks and stamps so I decided to to get a couple of cards done.
I've created a card with the Layering Flower For You stamp set before and loved how easy it was to layer these flower stamps. And I am NOT great at stamp layering! This set is pretty easy to line up and I love the look that they create.
I decided to use the coordinating dies and post it notes to create masks for the flowers so that I could create a dimensional look on this single layer card. If you would like to see how I created this card, please check out this video.

If you're interested in the supplies I used, they are all linked down below! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!
