Queen and Co. Pretty Presents Kit

The June Queen and Co kit is called Pretty Presents and includes a fabulous 6x6 paper pad, present shaker shapes, sprinkles and a fabulous stamp set. I used a bunch of scraps from the 6x6 pad to create my background and stamped a few Paper Smooches sentiments.
The kit comes with matching dies for the present shakers and I die cut this present from glitter paper.
I created the second background by stamping one of the Queen and Co. sentiments repeatedly in different colors.
I die cut each present in different colors to coordinate with the different sprinkles that came in the kit.
The Pretty Presents kit is perfect for birthday cards and other celebratory greetings. If you are interested in seeing everything in the Queen and Co June kit, check it out HERE.

Summer Celebrations with Jillibean Soup

Time to share my June Jillibean Soup creations! We started summer break off with a splash and I loved the big alphas to title this summer break layout!
Most of the papers and embellishments are from the Souper Celebration collection but there are a few from Chit Chat Chowder too!
This summer our babies turned one! Our furry babies lol1
This time I mixed the Bowl of Dreams and Souper Celebration alphas to create my big title.
I have been wanting to use that little lama somewhere and I thought this little scene under the puppy pictures was the perfect place!
Birthday cards come together quickly when you use Jillibean Soup's Souper Celebration collection. Pea Pod Parts and Wood Veneer for the win!
My one Bowl of Dreams project this month was this little thank you card. I die cut a piece of the floral patterned paper into a rectangle and then die cut part of it with a circle die to create a little table for my pineapples to sit on.
Well that is it for this month! I may have heard that NEW Jillibean Soup collections may be coming soon, but you didnt hear it from me lol!!!!

Splashy Watercoloring of Outline Alpha Stamps

I am up on the Scrapbook Circle blog today sharing my Tech Tip for this month.  This month I decided to use the Scrapbook Circle Add On Happy Place which included the Crate Paper Oasis Clear Acrylic Stamps. Those alpha outline stamps are perfect for coloring.
But I didn's want to spend tons of time coloring them in and worrying about staying in the lines. Instead I decided to do a watercolor technique that looks like splashes or splotches of watercolor. I used Tombow Dual Brush markers for the June's across the top.

And I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks for the Funs across the bottom.
I filmed a video showing both watercolor techniques and the process of putting the rest of the layout together. You can check it out here:

Sadly,  the fancy program (LinkDeli) I was using to provide you with a ton of pretty images of products and links to shops is now charging an arm and a leg, and I won't be able to afford it. But if you would like to check out the products I use, I will have them all linked under the YouTube video and try to link them to at least two different shops.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Triptych Mixed Media Card With Deco Foil Transfer Gel

I've always been fascinated with Triptych paintings. You know when an image is broken into three canvases or panels? I love the rest your eye gets by the margin and the contrast between a continual image broken up by white space. I thought it would be fun to create the same idea on a card front.

I used Therm O Web's Deco Foil Transfer Gel and The Crafter's Workshop stencils to create the backgrounds. I also used Rebekah Meier's Mixed Media line for Therm O Web.

I die cut the Rebekah Meier Art Paper into 3 rectangles with the Therm O Web Gina K. dies.
After adding the Rebekah Meier foils to the sentiment and panels, I also colored the panels with Gina K Designs for Therm O Web Dye Inks.

I created a video for Therm O Web where I show how I created both of these cards! You can check it out here:

Queen and Co June Kit - Pretty Presents

I can't believe it is JUNE ALREADY? How is it half way through the year?! The great thing about June, other than summer and vacations is that the new Queen and Co monthly kit is available! This month's kit is called Pretty Presents and it includes everything you need to make several present shakers for birthdays or other celebrations!
You get several Shape Shakers in the kit with three sized coordinating dies, a 6x6 Mat Stack, Toppings and acetate to finish your shakers.

With everything that is included in this kit, it is so easy to pull together a few birthday cards to add to your stash!
All the time you save in creating the shakers, you can use to adhere on the little bows. I think they can also look like little butterflies. :)

Want to see all the items included in the kit AND a quick walk through of how to create TWO shaker cards? Check out this video!

Interested in the Pretty Presents kit or some of the other supplies I used to create these cards? Check out links to the supplies here:

F to the 5th Power - Five Fun Fave Finds on Friday 3

So technically Friday was yesterday, but the 11 year old is taking Latin this summer and we needed to have a uniform fitting done before school starts on Monday, so F to the 5th Power is live now! ;)

This week I am focusing on Hybrid Inks by Simon Says Stamp. They have properties of both dye and pigment inks, stamp beautifully and come in some of the most amazing colors.
Next up is the Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy. This is easily the best, cheapest and most environmentally friendly way to clean stamps.
Then we have extra large binder rings for organizing washi tape. I've seen a bunch of planner ladies using these rings to take washi with them. I have a peg board in my studio and I hang the washi rings from the peg board, which keeps my washi out and accessible.
I love this Precision Tip Applicator bottle by Quilled creations. Whether you remove the nozzle of your adhesive and just use the top or pour your adhesive into the bottle, this precision tip makes it easy to adhere small embellishments.
Last, but not least, if you have not tried Inktense Pencils, you must! They are a little pricey and I only own this 12 pencil set because of the price, but they are amazing. They look like regular watercolor pencils and they do react with water but they are much more pigmented because they are actually ink based.
Want to see these products in action? Check out the video:

Interested in checking out some of these supplies? I have a list with links to all 5 products, plus some of the additional products that I used in the video to highlight them here:
