Scrapbook Circle Ransom Note Challenge

This month Scrapbook Circle is hosting a Ransom Note Challenge based on the alpha washi and alpha patterned paper included in January's Fresh Start Kit. I love making mixed font titles so this challenge was perfect for me!
I cut the individual letters from the Seven Paper patterned paper and combined it with 2 different puffy alphas for a whimsical title.
I created two fun squares of layers that I thought worked well with the playfulness of the title.
And that's it! Short and sweet but oh so fun! Go over to Scrapbook Circle's blog to see how you can play along with this fun challenge!

My Favorite Embellishment Shape

Some people like flowers, some people love circles, I love stars! I love stars on layouts and cards. I love chipboard stars, star stickers and more. The Studio Calico vellum stars are awesome. I like how there are star outlines and filled in stars in the one pack and how there are multiple colors too! Stars are great for so many themes too. Having a boy I love that stars are not girly. I sprinkled them on this page:

I love how these stars tuck under and over the photos and patterned paper.

Do you love stars or is there another embellishment or shape you like to use?

Let's Party with Simple Stories!

Let's be honest. Every papercrafter needs a good birthday collection in their stash, right? Well, look no further. Simple Stories Let's Party collection is fun, happy, bright, versatile enough for boys and girls and is perfect for cards, layouts and more! I cut this fun little party heart card with my Cameo.
The chipboard and die cuts in this collection are AMAZING. Check out those cute little balloons! You can use the chipboard strings that come in the set or attach twine like I did. Either way it is pretty easy to pull together a birthday card that will make someone smile. :)

I also decided to take a walk down memory lane and scrapbook some of my kids younger birthdays. The Chipboard frames are perfect for adding a bunch of photos including those detail shots like ones of the cake and presents. I had so much fun filling one frame with a mix of Bradz, Enamel Dots, Photo Stickers and Chipboard Stickers! And how about that big 1? I may need several more packs of those die cut numbers, I just love them so!
For this layout I created a large cake for the background and stitched around each layer. The stickers, die cuts and embellishments all work so well together in this collection!
Playing with these old photos and this cute new collection has me inspired to do a mini album of each kids birthday. Let's Party has so many fun stickers, embellishments and patterned papers for all types of birthday projects!

Supplies Used:
Let's Party Collection
Collection Kit
Bits and Pieces
Enamel Dots
Chipboard Stickers
Die Cut Numbers

Scrapbook Circle Round Up January 2016

I love playing along with Scrapbook Circle's Circle Round Up.

It is basically a recipe challenge where you use a large portion of the largest circle and a smaller portion of each of the smaller circles. This month I decided to try something different and use everything listed in each of the circles! It wasn't too hard because Scrapbook Circle kits are so perfectly coordinated! Here is my layout:
The biggest circle focuses on the written word. I used one of the patterned papers suggested as my background and the other two as die cut tea cups.

I also used everything from the Polka Dotted Circle (both patterned papers which I punched into heart shapes to tuck into one tea cup), the bag, and the polka dotted alphas. I added some Textire with the Shine acrylic word, cork sticker and sequins.

And I used all the items from the Add On Circle too. I bought both add ons this month so it was no problem to incporporate the flair, large gold alpha T and vellum stars.
As always, I had a lot of fun playing along with the Circle Round Up Challenge. I liked taking it to another level this month and using every item listed! Are you going to try out this Circle Round Up Challenge? Add yours to the Scrapbook Circle Facebook Page, we would love to see!
