Top Ten Blog Hop of 2015

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Top Ten Blog Hop of 2015! I was so excited that Christine asked me to join this year because looking back on the year of projects is one of my favorite things to do!

Of course what is a hop without a chance at winning some goodies, am I right? Well you are in luck! If you go through the whole list of Top Tens and leave comments along the way you will be entered into a drawing for an $80 gift card to the store of your choice! You have until January 3rd at 11:59 CST to make your way through all the blogs listed below. The winner will be announced HERE on the 4th!

AND I am giving away a $20 gift certificate to Scrapbook.com. All you have to do to enter my giveaway is comment on this blog post. Want additional entries? Follow my blog and leave me a comment telling me you did (or already do!). AND click over to my Instagram (you can see my feed to the right...) and follow me there. Come back here and leave me a comment telling me you did. I too will choose my winner on the 3rd at midnight.

Here is a list of all the blogs involved in the hop:

Rebecca Keppel http://www.myclutteredcorner.com/ (you are HERE!)
Kelly Jean Guzlas http://www.kelsterjean.com/ (up next!)
Juliana Michaels http://www.17turtles.com/

And now here is my Top Ten:For this layout, I re-edited a photo I took of my daughter when she was a baby. OH how I wish I knew then what I know now about photography. Sigh. But some things can be saved and this photo was definitely one of them. Loved playing with product here too. I made this layout for Create magazine which sadly is no more, but was a joy to design for this past year.
I made a lot of cards this year, which is unusual for me. I did a lot of manual die cutting and stamping too. Fun to step outside my comfort zone for sure!
Designing for Simple Stories has been such an amazing experience. Can't say enough about their products or all the people on their team.
More Simple Stories because...pumpkins. I just love pumpkins lol!
Another incredible opportunity I've had is designing for Scrapbook Circle. LOVE their kits. Seriously love them. And Lisa (the owner) is a true gem. Did a little painting this year too which I had never done before.
More Scrapbook Circle and definitely a shout out to my Cameo. Had it for years. My work horse. Definitely the BEST crafting purchase I ever made.
A third one from Scrapbook Circle and one of my favorite techniques...filling small spaces with stickers and embellishments and working within a grid.
More Simple Stories and more painting...oh and more Cameo. Love cutting scripty titles with it. There was a time when I thought I would never make a layout without American Crafts Thickers. Cameo definitely saved me there.
Another amazing opportunity I've had is designing for Therm O Web. This year they really took on the foiling trend with a gusto. I loved walking by their booth at CHA and seeing it PACKED. I knew the Deco Foils would be a huge hit. Another group of fabulous humans too. :)
And finally...an amazing opportunity from this year that I will never forget was the chance to teach at Scrapbook.com. And the fact that people actually enrolled lol! The Scrapbook.com team is amazing and it literally never ceases to amaze me that they make everything I do look so good!
Well that's it for my list! Thanks for stopping by!

Simple Stories Claus & Co. Round Up

When I first saw the Claus & Co. collection previewed at the SPC summer trade show, I immediately fell in love. I couldn't believe how MUCH I loved it considering I usually struggle with themed collections - especially Christmas-themed collections because I am never very happy with my Christmas photos. But, I could instantly see the potential for this collection to create a variety of fun projects. So I did! I made everything from tags:
to cards,

 and layouts.

I even created the start of a December album. I have everything ready to go in my album and now that December is finally here, I can begin to add my photos and stories!

If you are interested in creating an album like this one, I have a class over at Scrapbook.com right now called Document Your December. I would love if you would join me over there. It is a FREE class and it was a lot of fun to put together!

I have loved using this collection and will continue to enjoy making holiday decorations, teacher's cards and more this month with it! If you haven't already, go run and get yourself some Claus & Co. and have fun creating during the holiday season!
