Therm O Web Pinterest Week

This week, the Therm O Web team are creating Pinterest inspired projects. Before I even searched Pinterest, I remembered my friend (and co-design Scrapbook Circle Design team member) Diana Waite making altered composition books. And if you search Pinterest for altered composition books, there is tons of fabulous inspiration available. They make a nice, personalized and cheap gift! rk tow nb6
Start with a plain composition book - many dollar stores carry them. rk tow nb1
Using Therm O Web Super Stik, completely coat the cover of the book and the back side of patterned paper with adhesive. (Coating the cover and the paper insures permanent sticking power.) I used Simple Stories new line Vintage Bliss for this project. Perfect for a girl's notebook!
rk tow nb2
Don't cover the binding with patterned paper. Instead use some Therm O Web SuperTape Sheets and a wide ribbon or trim. rk tow nb3
Cut strips of the Therm O Web SuperTape Sheets and completely cover the binding: rk tow nb4
Peel off the red protective backing an apply ribbon and trim to fit. Once the cover and binding are done, decorate the cover with other embellishments. (Zots are perfect for adding buttons!) rk tow nb 12
Next, to make tabbed pages, cover several pages with Therm O Web Memory Runner XL adhesive and cover with patterned paper here: rk tow nb 9
and here:

For a page with a seam, cover the seam with Sticky Lines: rk tow nb5
and add a trim: rk tow nb 11
And there you have it, a very inexpensive but super cute gift inspired by Pinterest!

Simply Everyday

I don't know about you, but I am thinking about using Simple Stories 24/7 on everything, everday! It is such a versatile collection and can be used on a photo a day project, cards and layouts on all themes. I used it here on a simple happy moment for my kids--feeding the ducks.
Rk life is good
All the little bits and pieces are so easy to use together on a wide variety of themes.

See what I mean? Stickers with sayings you want to use, trendy patterns, cork patterned paper, hearts, hexagons.... and on and on! It really is a pleasure to use this line.

Happy Valentine's Day with Therm O Web

Happy ♥ Day! I hope you got lots of love today! I got a home cooked meal (yum) 2 happy kids (goodies and little gifts in hand) a phone call to Dad and time to bake 48 cupcakes for the school Valentine's party tomorrow (which thanks to the best job ever, I get to go to)! All in all a good day :) This year I added to the home decor pieces I have started to make for Valentine's Day with this little frame:
It was actually quite easy to make using Therm O Web i Craft adhesive sheets and the Cameo. You can see all the details on the Therm O Web blog if you are interested. And with that quick stop, I will share a favorite photo from last weekend and wish you all a happy weekend!

Heat Embossed Background

When was the last time you heat embossed on a layout? It was definitely a while for me, but with the Glitz Roller stamp in the Scrapbook Circle February Kit (Story Time) I thought it might be fun to try it out again. rk i am biasedThe roller stamp is so fun and easy to use.  On a boy layout, I was looking for a rougher look so I didnt even attempt straight lines or perfect images. rk i am biased cu1The texture and shine of the embossing powder once it is heated adds such a fun element to this otherwise simple layout. rk i am biased cu2   :) Rebecca

Winner Winner and Scrapbook Circle OIW

So I drew a winner of the Kiwi Lane Designs template:

love your LO, so bright and fun.

I emailed you Darlene! Thanks to everyone for all the sweet comments! I have more giveaways coming up (new CHA goodies!) so stay tuned!

Speaking of new CHA goodies...have you seen the new Scrapbook Circle kit Story Time? Lots of new Gltz Designs (Color Me Happy), My Mind's Eye Collectible and new Chic Tags. But some of my favorite items in the Story Time kit are the new exclusive large pins! Love the bigger than average flair and the designs are super cute and made just for this kit! LOVE. I featured them in my One Item Wonder this month by cutting a grid design of circles and placing several pins inside the circles:

Inside the other circles I placed punched circles of various patterned papers, stickers and brads. Before I adhered the pins I cut the actual pin part off with my Tim Holtz heavy duty metal cutting scissors so they would sit flat.
To adhere them, I stacked two Therm O Web Zots on top of each other. For this one I added a My Mind's Eye "adore" sticker on top.
If you want these super cute pins you have to grab one of the Story Time kits. Get over there now, they will NOT last long!
