It's Summer....almost!

The little guy still has school on Wednesday and Thursday, but for the most part we are done! We are all so excited to have a fun and relaxing summer. This last week was busy of course. We already started scratching things off of our 100 Fun Things to Do This Summer List. For starters we had caterpillars transform into butterflies:

Check!
We made and ate a berry pie...
Check!
We've been swimming in the pool and today we went to the first summer movie with our summer passes. It was Happy Feet 2 and it was so cute.
So the summer is off to a fun start.
Add to that, an absolutely amazing June kit from Scrapbook Circle called Field Notes and already sold out Add On Go Somewhere
There are a lot of travel themed items in this kit and it has been a long time since I did much travelling, but I have LOVED working with this kit. I made lots of every day moment layouts including this one:
I loved working with the mix of My Mind's Eye, Echo Park, Heidi Swapp, Studio Calico...
I've already mentioned how hard it is going to be for me to have my baby start kindergarten, but there are so many exciting things in store for all of us this year so I am trying to stay strong ;)
Run over to the Scrapbook Circle shop and snap one up before the main kit sells out too!
Have a great week!

Winner and Last Week of School

Thanks for all the sweet comments. Everything worked out and I am busy getting through the last bit of school and getting ready for a fun summer. We are having super hot weather and got in the pool today. Before the weather hit I got them out on a weekend morning for a fun photo shoot:
I chaperoned a field trip, we went to two birthday parties at a gymnastics gym, Little Miss got a 100% on the last and hardest spelling test of the year. She also has been losing teeth on a weekly basis:
The tooth fairy is nearly broke ;)
AND I have a winner to announce from the last giveaway post:
RANDOM NUMBERS - (click 'More random numbers' for more!)
Random lottery number between 1 and 199
Which makes Kelly Massman the winner! Congrats Kelly --I emailed you!
And because it is not a post without a couple of projects...
Here is my Ruby Rock-It layout from this post:
I used the fun embossed cardstock and my favorite Nostalgia collection.
And here is a layout and card from the Scrapbook Circle blog using May's kit The Story and Add On Life Documnted:

It looks like there may be a few of The Story kits left if you are interested. And not that I can give any hints yet, but....the June Scrapbook Circle kit is AMAZING. Stay tuned for more on that!
Have a great night!

People are Good Giveaway and Hello Cupcake!

Today I dealt with a frustrating situation that made me momentarily doubt the overall goodness of humanity. Then I took a breath and realized that living a good, kind and generous life and teaching my babies to lead a similar positive existence is the only answer. That having generosity of spirit will make me feel better and in turn put some positive thinking out in the world rather than the negativity I had started off with. SO, it is without further ado, high time for my 300th blog post giveaway! I have some new goodies including an Echo Park Times and Seasons collection pack that I have been setting aside for this giveaway, now I just need someone to send it all to! You will find all the details for entering at the end of this post.
But first I need to share my Imaginisce Hello Cupcake projects. This line is adorable. I love everything about cupcakes--I mean a mini cake I can eat all by myself....what is not to love? I always bring cupcakes into the kids class for the birthdays and come to take pictures (of course!).
The Imaginisce die cuts make great titles. I cut the big cupcake with my cameo. The i Rock was perfect for adding some bling both as confetti and decoration for the party hat:
I talk about the Therm O Web Adhesives I used for this layout on the Therm O Web blog today and how to use 3D Zots to create a visual triangle.
I also made a birthday card which I already had the chance to give away!
Again the Cameo came in handy for making a cute shaped card. I put a stacked journaling sticker on the inside of the card for the sentiment and to sign.
So there you have the adorably sweet Hello Cupcake
Now onto the giveaway. It is easy, really. Just comment below and you are entered to win. You can get a second comment for following my blog or commenting that you already follow. You can get a third comment here for going to Imaginisce and commenting there too. And how about you can comment here a fourth time if you go over to Therm O Web and leave a comment there too :) 4 chances to win. I will leave the comments open until Sunday night May 20th. Good luck!

Where to Begin...

Seriously, I have so much catch up work to do, I can't even think of where to begin! That's what happens when you are running around with end of the year craziness, birthdays, work, activities and let yourself get walloped by a sinus infection. Not fun, but I am feeling better, so it is time to dig myself out from under the pile of To DO's and get caught up! First off....
my latest Simple Stories layout using the Awesome collection was on the Simple Stories blog:
I really do love all the little fun elements included in Simple Stories collections and this layout was all about using them right on a photo.
Coolest thing? The layout was featured as a 2Peas featured project the day after I loaded it up!
My little dude got a big kick out of that!
Next up? Imaginisce and Canvas Corp had a fun blog hop this past week. Here is my project, which also became my Mom's mother's day present :)
I used a Studio Calico mask and sprayed Tattered Angels mist on the canvas pennants then adhered them to the burlap Canvas Corp bag with the Imaginisce i Bond. The little brads were made with the Imaginisce i Top, some Brad Daddies and the Makin Waves collection. Loads of fun and I think this makes the perfect bring a book to the beach bag!
Finally, Scrapbook Circle is hosting a "Mother's" challenge. All you have to do is create a project with the theme of "mothers" and load it up to the Scrapbook Circle Facebook Page by May 16th at 9:00pm PST and you will be in the drawing for a $10 Scrapbook Circle credit. You can find all the details of the challenge HERE. And my take is HERE...
I used everything from the May Scrapbook Circle kit The Story, the add on Life Documented and the printable pdf that comes with the kit. Everything here was glued down with Therm O Web adhesives :)
Ok, I do have more to share, but let's call it a night with a promise to be back tomorrow?
Hope all you mother's had a very Happy Mother's Day and hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Ruby Rock-It Bella Fundamentals Blog Hop!

Hi! Welcome to the Ruby Rock-It Bella! Fundamentals National Scrapbook  Day Blog Hop! Phew that was a mouthful! If you just happened onto my blog be sure to start the hop at the RRBF blog. If you just came here from Sandy's blog then welcome! If you leave comments along the way you will be entered into a drawing for fun RRBF prizes!
With Mother's Day quickly approaching I paired some Bella! embossed cardstock, Ruby-Rock-It's Nostalgia line and a torn piece of the new polka dot vellum for a mother's day card:
I haven't torn paper in a while, but I really like the look of torn vellum, don't you? I adhered the vellum with Therm O Web's Adhesive Vellum runner and my ode to that particular adhesive is on the Therm O Web blog today too.
Well, it is time to leave a comment and then make your way to the next stop on the hop which is Keely's Blog.
If you happened to get lost somewhere along the way here is the hop order:

Scrapbook.com Kit Club Daydreamer

I had the absolute pleasure of playing with Scrapbook.com Kit Club's National Scrapbook Day Special Kit called Daydreamer and, let me tell you... it is fabulous! If you haven't decided what to treat yourself to for NSD this may be your answer. This kit is PHENOMENAL and packed to the rafters with fabulously fun goodies.
Yes, all of that is included! A super cool mask, Perfect Pearls Mist, an Amy Tangerine mini album and more!Speaking of the mask, I used it on this layout:

Yes, I used it upside down ;) I liked the look of hills or suns for this layout, but the right side up scallops would be super cute too ;) As soon as I saw the mask I knew I would be machine stitching along the masked sections. A little time consuming maybe, but it adds such fun texture to an otherwise simple layout. I seriously loved every item in this kit and would have bought them all individually for myself. But thanks to Scrapbook.com you don't have to do that. In fact, since it is a special for NSD you are getting $65 worth of brand new goodies for $35!! I know, right??!! So if you were hunting for a NSD present to yourself, run over to Scrapbook.com and pick one up!
