Create My Keepsake Design Team Call

I am new around the CMK community but when I heard about this current DT call I couldn't resist giving it a try. Each applicant must create a kit from their stash and then create projects from that kit.

Here is the kit I created called Play it Again Sweetie:

I included:

4 pieces of Bazzill carstock
patterned paper--
1 sheet by Making Memories
4 sheets by Pink Paislee
1 flocked sheet by Doodlebug Designs
1 clear sheet by KI Memories
1 chipboard alpha by American Crafts
1 letter sticker alpha by Pink Paislee
Felt Flowers by Creative Cafe (Creative Imaginations)
Felt Butterflies by Heidi Swapp
1 sheet of circle stickers by Creative Cafe (Creative Imaginations)
Pink Paislee Rubons
Pink Paislee Ribbon
1 piece of Bazzill Tulle
1 package of blue bling by Doodlebug Designs
1 package of tickets by Jenni Bowlin Studio
1 package of Jenni Bowlin die cut journaling cards

I loved creating my own kit. I think this is how I am going to shop from now on!
And here are a few of the projects I created from this fun kit.

A layout about a day we spent at the park...

Another layout about my daughter finally posing for pictures...

and one featuring 5 random facts about me...

And finally a simple thank you card...

I had one more plan for this kit which was to make a small recipe book of my favorite sweets to give to a friend, but I ran out of time. I still have scraps left over to do it though and will be working on that right now...

Thanks so much for stopping by. I can tell from the forum that there is stiff competition for these CMK DT Calls, but I can honestly say that this application process was a blast and I am really glad I did it. Good luck to all entrants!

Post Present Chaos

Aaah this is the lovely carnage that remained after the present opening this year. How many times will we clean this up over the next few days? A staggering number of times. But the sounds of fun and smiles make it worth it....sort of.

From Scraps

My favorite thing to do is create something from left overs. Whether dinner or a thank you card, using up scraps to make something new rather than throwing the scraps away makes me happy. Ok, it is not going to bring about world peace or anything, but decreasing our trash is definitely a positive thing. Here is a card I made from scraps of paper I did not throw out and other items in my stash.
